The purpose of this website is not only to condemn King Vajiralongkorn’s behaviour, but also to reflect on the consequences of Thailand's suppression of freedom of speech using the lèse-majesté law. This law, called Section 112 in Thailand, outlaws criticism of the monarchy and has been used as a tool against political dissidents for more than 60 years. That is why we, the authors, need to be anonymous; otherwise, we risk jail time (3 to 15 years per offence) or forced disappearance, which has happened to many activists.
If you are disturbed by what has happened and are interested in showing your support, you can share this site with your friends or contribute to any campaign related to Thailand’s democracy or lèse-majesté law. To reduce the risk of the Thai authority threatening those campaign organizers, we cannot provide any links to those campaigns. We apologize for the inconvenience.
